Our Mission

Preserving Heritage, Inspiring the Future. The Dublin School of Mandarin Chinese (DSMC) is dedicated to providing high-quality Mandarin language education while fostering a deep appreciation for traditional Chinese culture within the broader communities in Ireland.

Our Workshops & Cultural Activities

It is acknowledged that culture element plays an important part in motivation and we're firm believers in Content & Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), learning and teaching immerse in the target language. Our in person classes will be delivered in various formats, immersive, English or bilingual workshops.

We also offer workshops of your choice for schools and companies.

Our Partners & Impact

We have been honored to work alongside national institutions to provide bilingual expertise and storytelling:

National Museum of Ireland: Partnering on the Albert Bender Collection to provide bilingual tours, mindfulness tour and community out reach programme bridging the gap between historical artifacts and the public.
Chester Beatty Library: Delivering immersive Chinese Storytelling sessions that bring ancient legends to life.
Dublin Lunar New Year & Culture Night: As regular contributors to these flagship city events, we showcase vibrant Taiwanese cultural and workshops to thousands of visitors.
Mother Tongues: We collaborate with Mother Tongues Ireland to champion multilingualism. This partnership focuses on the importance of heritage languages and supports families in nurturing bilingualism at home and in the community.

We are delighted to be one of the LIFELANGS project's external partners. The project shows impressive ambition and a genuinely collaborative approach to language, identity, and lived experience across the island of Ireland.

Our Transition Year (TY) and extra-curricular programs are trusted by schools in Ireland to provide high-energy, educational immersion:

Post-Primary School Workshops: We have a long-standing presence in schools like St. David’s Holy Faith Secondary School and Ratoath College, delivering specialised TY workshops.
Primary Schools: Providing Mandarin Chinese extra-curricular activities for schools like Hedley Park, ensuring language learning starts with a spark of curiosity.

Taipei Representative Office in Ireland: We work closely with the Taipei Representative Office in Ireland and The UK to host and support events that strengthen the cultural and educational bonds between Taiwan and Ireland/UK.

OCAC & Taiwan Centre for Mandarin Learning (TCML): We are proud to be a key partner of the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC). Our leadership has been invited to deliver talks and presentations at the TCML conferences, sharing best practices in pedagogy and heritage language preservation.
